Search - Dragon Rampant AAR

As you might remember I and my son David run some Dragon rampant games during the summer, last weekend we had a go again creating the third chapeter in our Chronicle of the 4 heroic adventurers seeking fame and fortune in the north.

This time they had gott solid information at a local tavern  that there would be a hiden treasure in the forest.

OOB Adventurers (Glory: 20)

  • Lord Bazak - Dwarf Warrior (Fielded as Elite Foot) @ 6 points (Trait: Leader)
  • Klom - Ogre Brute (Fielded as Elite Foot) @ 6 points (Trait: Tought)
  • Genevieve - Human Mercenary (Fielded as Expert Light Missile) @ 6 points
  • Mizar - Human Mage (Fielded as Expert Heavy Missile) @ 6 points

As I wanted them all to have 6 hit I raised the Armour with +1 for the "units" that normaly are made up of 12 minis.

For this small scenario, we only plyed it out on a 60x60cm DBA game board, I had split the gaming area in 4 squars with a objective in each of them, when a Adventurer reach a objective he could spend activation to search for the hiden treasure.

Heros ready for a new adventure...

The gaming board, the 4 objectives are a bit hard to detect but they are the Sight with a Skeleton, a runestone, a tree with ravens and a group of trees on the other side of the stream...

Mizar made a quick move to the first objective but didnt find any tresuers, but the sign said GOLD so it must be a good omen....

At the start of each turn the Raven Tree spawned a new base of ravens...

The heros moving around in the forest, searching for the runestone...Klom seems a bit off....

As the Heros come close to the runestone a group of evil Vildvittror (Harpies) emerges from the distant mountains...

With sweeping move the Vildvittror attacks Mizar the Mage that by pure luck manage to fend them off...

Vildvittrorna has got taste for Dwarf flesh and start to attack Lord Dazak...

Genevieve mage good use of her sharpshooter skills and manage to take down 3 of the Vildvittrorna...

With some great balls of fire Mizvar them finnish of 2 more and the last Vildvittra flees the feald skreaming something that she will get here sisterns and be back to feast on their flesh...

While the other heros fought with Vildvittrorna has Klum managed to sneak to the runestone and searched for the treasure...but didnt find any thing at all...

As our heroic adventirers has spent quite much time searching the forest there has arrived good many Ravens and as the Heros start to advance for the raven tree, all the ravens fly up in the air and blacken the sky...

Lord Bazak that have moved closest to the raven Tree are in the aim for the flock of ravens...

Lord Bazak fight his way throught houndreds of ravens and reach the Raven tree, Mizar shout that he shall cut it down to stop it from spawn more Ravens... Lord Bazak starts to choop it with his Sword, cursing and wishing for his Axe...

Even more Ravens comes trying to fend of the heros that trying to cut down the raven tree... But with joint efforts of Lord Bazak and Klum they manage to fend them off, cut down the raven tree and also search all the bones around the raven tree for the treasure...none to find...

As Lord Bazak advance for the last objective, he can hear that something are moving in the forest... but Lord Bazak dosent care to wait for his companions as he sees the tresure lies ahead...

With a swift move the Beast emerge throught the trees ant attacks Lord Bazak, that is already wounded...

Lord Bazak fight for his life as he dosnet want to end up in the pantry of the Spider beast....

Luckely for Lord Bazak his faithfull companion Klum had got the bright idea of a flank move and now rushed to his friends help...

Lord Bazak managed to cross the stream with is last strenght as Mizar the mage come to his aid. On the other side of the stream Klum continued to  wallop the Monsterous Spider...

With a big grin Klum watched the spider flee in to the deep forest... The last objective was theirs as well as the tressaure that was hiden under a tree....

Once again a good game, david love to be in command of the heroes not knowing what beasts I will throw on them. The heros also gained 4 Glory.
